Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow

So, my holiday is officially over.

I am posting this from the hotel in LAX (and man, I am surprised how many big places charge for wifi when the smaller ones give it for free... ouch) and tonight I start the journey back home to New Zealand.

So in my last day in the UK, we went to Stonehendge and also a place called Longleat, which had a safari park and a small castle like area you could go into to see a classic english house from the old days.
The safari park itself was rather amazing and I rather enjoyed myself in it, as well as some of the other surprises they had in the location. The river ride we had thought on the lake was just a small boat trip that talked about the manor and it's surroundings...

But in actual fact there are Californian sea lions, hippos and even a gorilla on it. It was rather amazing to see.

Sadly, I was ill and weak most of the day. I think something the day before I'd eaten had disagreed with me as I was unable to eat or stay awake most of the day. I felt better the next day a lot, but it did put a little damper on things.

The trip to LA was interesting, if not annoying as hell.
Seriously, English women, please learn to disipline your kids. And if I glare at the kid and ask them to stop kicking the back of my seat when I am trying to sleep, don't go off at me. I'm not the one who failed to teach their kid basic manners.

Besides that and the occasional screaming baby, the flight was alright. Got to watch some episodes of the Simpsons and Family Guy, as well as watch Fantastic Mr. Fox. I loved the book as a kid, but wasn't prepared to pay for the movie, so I saw this as a chance to see it.
Overall, I wasn't too impressed. I can see they wanted to try a new art style for it, but I felt what they did don't do it justice and the extra sub plots they added onto the movie just felt tacky. I much more prefered the book version by far.

At any rate, this will be my last entry until I get home.
I plan to have a big final post, with photos and overall summaries, in a next week or so, so keep an eye out for it, and thank you to all the people who have followed me on my vacation and a bigger thank you to everyone who met up with me and let me stay with them.
