So here I am... very rarely posting on the blog...
I will try to do better!!
The nigfht with my aunt in Edinburgh was fun and short, but I enjoyed seeing her a lot and it was a blast. Hoping to see her again sometime in the future!
So here I am in Kent, visiting a dear friend I met back on my US holiday in 2007, Steph! I've been staying in a hotel nearby, and it's been a nice little place... Though it has had it's... nightmarish things.
I got an email from the hotel on my second night here, basically asking why I hadn't checked in. I was confused as I was reading the email from the hotel room. Apparently someone messed up and emailed out I never checked in instead of that i had checked in.
There was a morning I woke up, stepped outside the room and someone had puked on the floor just up ahead. The smell was horrible! (Granted, early morning, hence it probably hadn't been cleaned yet).
The laundry service wasn't the best. I almost feared I wouldn't get my clothes back before I left (and it was pretty costly too!).
Tonight I ordered a meal room service. Afterwards, I called them to let them know the tray was outside the room for collection. Four hours later, its still there...
And finally I got locked out of my room when my keycard stopped working. We got it sorted, but oye...
Don't get me wrong, they are friendly, just... man...
Anyway, negative stuff aside, hanging out with Steph has been fun. We've mostly just hung out at her place and gone for walks and chatted a lot.
We went to the pictures, and saw Shrek 4 (again... It's that good people!).
We also headed into London to go to the Aquarium and Ripley's Believe It or Not!
Aquarium was good for where it was. I enjoyed it and it was fun... The Horseshoe crabs were very cool!
The Ripley's was beyond awesome though... so much cool stuff to see and do. And I loved Steph throwing the switch to someone on the electic chair... Got that one of film!
There was a fun mirror maze there as well, that was so well done and clever we didn't want to leave!
Also, did you know that Robert Ripley considered the Maori to be the oddest of all people he met in the world? I didn't know that, but it was interesting to learn!
Well, today was my last day here. I'm all packed for tomorrow and I'm off to Paris to visit some new friends. The holiday is starting to wind down sadly... It'll be sad when it ends... but also great to be home again...
Until my next big trip!! :D
